Superhet

Superhet

For many years I have been fascinated by printed circuit boards, integrated circuits, and other hardware components that are the structure through which electrons move. The imagery on the boards inside electronic machines appears abstract, reminds me of art from ancient cultures, while forming a system harnessed by us often to do work that is very advanced. I often see connections and relationships between seemingly unrelated things. And when I look at the plants of the natural world, I see a sophisticated system, a network, that expresses visual energy. In this drawing, I brought these two apparently unrelated worlds together.

  1. This reminds me of the hena artwork we would see on the girls and womens hands when we lived in the Middle East.
I like the mix of technology, nature and the human elements.

    1. You have a good eye, Danny. I also love those henna designs. I’m familiar with them from knowing women from India who can do that. In India it is called mehndi. Anyway, I do love those patterns and that is also a part of what I combined in this drawing. And thank you, I’m glad you like it.
